This big elk was laying at the very top of a mountain in the tundra area of the RMNP.

Went to my friends today and caught this little squirrel peeping out of one of her squirrel boxes.

This was the cutest little puppy! When the guys were all out skeet shooting, my nephews friend came out and he had this cute little puppy with him. It was in the back of his truck watching everybody and wanting out very bad. All the gunshots didn't bother him at all. Thanks for all the comments and info on my post yesterday!

Was a cloudy day, so this cardinal added some color!!

WOW...I was shocked at all the comments on my bug picture! They were some very strange and cool looking bugs..I had never seen any like that before. Thanks so much..you all are the best!

This lady bug was on a weed right next to the strange looking bugs..I will have to go back and check those weeds out again!

I've been trying to improve on my bird shots, so here is a little sparrow in the bushes.

I was sorting through all of my Colorado pictures and found this one of the fox that I seen up on Pike's Peak. The wind was blowing its hair.

Awww..Two baby nutria rats in a pond! Had to shoot through alot of sticks,but they turned out pretty good! There was a third one,but he got away!

I missed posting and commenting yesterday..just haven't felt like doing much..I think I may be coming down with a cold..but I sure hope not!

" A Bugs Life"

I just happened to look out my back door and I caught this squirrel on my deck looking like she was doing a little squirrel dance!! She was actually looking up at my woodpecker bar, as you can see she has crumbs all over her!!

I've been stuck in the house all day again today...I will be sooo glad when the rain stops!! Anyways, had to dig up another one from my walk!

Thanks so much for the comments on my ladybug..I was so excited to finally find one! It was my first ladybug shot.

My indigo buntings are back! I love these birds, they are so beautiful..they arrive in April every year about the same time, now I'm just waiting on my rose- breasted grosbeak, he should be arriving real soon. Hopefully I can get a better shot of these two, I was a good ways away from them and I didn't have that new lens on!!

I saw this red fox late this afternoon while we was riding. It was snowing a good bit...I was so excited to get to see snow!

17 Roses for 17 Years!!

Today was my anniversary, so my sweet husband sent me roses! He gets mad at me because I don't like getting flowers...I told him that these roses could've been that big new birdfeeder I want!

Has been storming all day today and suppose to continue through until sunday...so I am stuck in the house!! Had to post another from my walk yesterday.

Dog-Tired....Exactly how I'm feeling this morning! Had a busy day yesterday and was out late...will catch up with everyone tonight!

Caught this beautiful red fox one morning making his rounds! We saw alot of these every night.

LOL...Strange view of a squirrel!! This squirrel gets on my skylight every morning and drinks the dew off of it.

The hummers are back!!

Don't know what is wrong with my internet connection..but its driving me crazy! It took me over an hour just to post this shot.

Anyway..I think Jackson was a little bored or the heat is making him a little goofy!!

Can't get outside cause we are still having storms and more are on the way...so I was playing around with this one the other night and thought I would share it with you! I had saved it for a rainy day!

Almost didn't get to post tonight...more bad storms!! I was trying to get a shot of some of the cardinals that come to feed everyday. Late in the evening there is usally about twenty or more that comes to my feeders..but they were all scattered out so I could only get these seven. There were more of them in this tree but Jackson had to go and scare some of them away. Anyway this is why I can get so many shots of cardinals. I told you....I have lots of them!!

Captured!!

I love this bird..been waiting for him to get here! He always comes at the same time every year and he finally arrived today. I haven't see the female yet, but she will be here. Last year he ran into my door and it knocked him out, so I got to hold him until he came back to and then he sat in my hand for a little while, shook his head and flew off!

All of the squirrels outside were glad to see me back! I had left like 8 feeders full for them while I was gone and they had emptied them out and even tore one of them up!

Hello...Welcome to my smugmug gallery. As you can tell..I love wildlife and birds, so most all of my pictures are of one or the other.

I've been here for almost a year now and I have really enjoyed it..Smugmug is a wonderful community. I still have alot to learn, so I plan on getting out and taking as many shots as I can!
